The 25th ACM Conference on User Modeling, Adaptation and Personalisation took place in Bratislava, Slovakia from the 09th to the 12th of July. The UMAP conference is one of the most popular conferences in the area of personalized recommender systems and adaptation services.

Know-Center’s Social Computing area, represented by Dominik Kowald has successfully presented a publication at UMAP 2017. The publication was joint work with Simone Kopeinik from the ISDS Institute of TU Graz and Elisabeth Lex, the area head of the Social Computing area of the Know-Center.

The publication presents the TagRec framework, which is an open-source toolkit for the development and evaluation of tag-based recommender systems. Apart from that, the paper summarizes various use cases that have been realized with this framework in the course of the two EU research projects Learning Layers and AFEL.
